| Plant type | Tonnage | Power | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Air-cooled, trailer-mounted | 25 to 500 tons per unit, combined for larger loads | 460/480V typical | Fastest to set: no water supply or tower needed. Hospitals, plants, campuses. |
| Water-cooled, skid-mounted | 300 to 1,500 tons per skid | 460/480V, 4160V available | Roughly half the electrical draw of air-cooled. Tight sites, long runs, high load. |
| Water-cooled, individual plants | 100 to 500 tons | Single power point connection | Self-contained with cooling tower and pumps, all trailer-mounted. |
| Modular combinations | To 3,000+ tons | Sized with your facility feed | Whole-plant replacement and planned shutdowns. |

From your call to cold water
- Step 1You call, a person answers
Any hour, any day. Tell us the load, the site and the power you have. If you do not know the tonnage, we work it out with you.
- Step 2We size the plant
Tonnage, voltage, connection sizes and whether you need a generator, pumps or heat exchangers. You get one package, not a parts list.
- Step 3It ships the same day or overnight
Trailer-mounted and pre-piped, so it rolls off ready to connect. Our own crews deliver across the nine states we serve.
- Step 4We install, start and remove it
The crew connects, charges and tests the plant, stays until it is holding temperature, and comes back for removal at the end of the rental.

Service areasChiller rental questions, answered
- How fast can a rental chiller be on site?
- Same day or overnight in most of the nine states we cover, dispatched from our yard outside Austin. Call 512-288-0822 and a person answers, any hour. The plant arrives trailer-mounted and pre-piped, so connection starts as soon as it is set.
- What size chiller do I need?
- For a chilled-water loop, tons = GPM × temperature drop (°F) ÷ 24. A loop running 600 GPM with a 10°F drop needs about 250 tons. If you do not have those numbers, tell us the equipment you are replacing or the load you are covering and we size it with you, including the electrical feed.
- What does a chiller rental cost?
- Price follows tonnage, how long you need it, air-cooled versus water-cooled, delivery distance and rigging, the accessories required, and whether a generator is needed. Emergency call-outs and peak summer weeks cost more than planned shutdowns booked ahead.
- Air-cooled or water-cooled?
- Air-cooled sets fastest and needs no water supply or tower, which is why most emergency call-outs go out air-cooled. Water-cooled draws roughly half the power and suits tight sites, long runs and heavy sustained load, but needs water and a tower or a skid that carries its own.
- What comes with the plant?
- Power cables, chilled-water hose with quick connections, pumps, heat exchangers, disconnect switches and transformers as needed, plus diesel generator packages to 2,000 kW where there is no spare feed. Our crew installs, starts and tests it, and returns to remove it.
